Mapivo ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.
Account Information: When you sign in with Apple, we receive a unique identifier from Apple. We do not access your Apple ID email unless you choose to share it.
Profile Information: You may optionally provide a display name, bio, home city, travel style, and languages.
Location Data: With your permission, we collect your device's precise location to provide location-based features such as nearby postcards, city discovery, and travel recommendations. You can disable location access at any time in your device settings.
Content You Create: Postcards, photos, voice notes, itineraries, reactions, comments, and other content you choose to share through the app.
On your device only: Unpublished postcard drafts, trip expense ledgers and packing lists are kept on your phone. They reach another device only through a copy you export yourself and hand over — we never receive your shared spending.
Optional Usage Data: Usage statistics are off by default. If you enable them in Settings, we receive feature event names, calendar dates and duration ranges with a random installation identifier. These events contain no account identifiers, diary text, photos or location and are retained for up to 90 days. Turning statistics off deletes unsent events and the identifier from your device.
We do not sell your personal data. We may share information:
